I was wondering if there was anyway I could hook up audio input to my head unit even thought I dont have a aux in. Maybe like through the wiring harness or maybe theres a switch I can buy to use my system for output from my LCD screen without spending a fortune.

If you are not using the power from the head unit then you can install a set of RCA jumpers. If it is a tape deck unit then you can get a cd tape converter, if neither and your head unit does nto have an aux. input then your screwwed.

How do these RCA jumpers work. Also what do you mean if I am not using power from the head unit. maybe you can explain a lil more of how I can get it to work or maybe direct me to where I can get whatever I need to make it work.

ok by not using power from the head unit I mean the speaker outs... does every speaker in your car have an amp pushing it? if so then you can use rca's from any source to get the signal. By LCD screen I assume you mean a sepperate unit from your head unit. RCA jumpers/splitters have 2 male ends that join into one female end makeing it so you can plug the RCAs into more than one piece of equipment. you can do this to split a signal to power 2 amps or use different sources to supply a signal to 1 amp. that any more clear?

So I could only do that if i had my speakers being pushed by amps? Well my speakers and subs.

If you have a Honda head unit that can control a honda tape deck or CD changer, you can buy an adapter that has the proprietary Honda plug on one end, and femal RCA jacks on the other end. This is what I have done so that I can use my MP3 player. All I have to do is run a Y-cable from the player's headphone jack to the RCA inputs (and plug it into the cigarette lighter if I don't want to waste batteries.

Two warnings... the adapters are not particularly cheap ($50 or so), and it's a real b*tch to get behind the head unit. But I did it and I'm not an expert. It just took a lot of patience.

I have a pinoneer head unit and do not know what one will let me hook my LCD screen audio outputs so it will work through my system if someone can point me a direction.
