Nothing physically needs to be altered, just new motor mounts basically.

I would get a new driveshaft, rearend, and tranny along with the other long list of things for the basic conversion.

in my opinion you cant get as much HP with EFi as you can with a 302 H.O but thats my opinion i believe you get a adequate amount when you use EFI but carberated is the way to go

The 302HO is not carb'd unless you are talking earlier 80's with the nasty looking front end. Also I dont see why you couldnt use the driveshaft and rearend out of the truck. The rearend is still a 8.8" and the driveshaft can be cut down for about $75 or you can buy a new alum. one. What year is the truck? The EFI truck plenum is totally different than the mustang plenum, it wont be a strait swap without buying a hood, also you can't get tall enough valve covers for most rr's to clear the EFI plenum. There is alot to change going from a truck to a mustang. Think it through clearly and know exactly what you are doing before you jump into something you cant finish. There are also alot of tools you will find you need to do things right if you do the swap yourself. This is a big deal, you should consider the price everything will cost and the time you will have invested in the project and compare it to the cost of just buying a 5.0 to start with.
