Tinting your mirrors?? *Sigh* Seems like a rather dangerous combo when it comes to night driving...and to answer your question, no, I have no pitures of such a thing.

Oh thank god...LOL...it was late, like 2am and I was tired as heck, so my brian was trying to figure out what me ment...I was thinking "tinting your mirrors, why the heck...oh help me please..."...LOL. You know, it would be funny to see that, lol.
Anyways, I still have no pic of it...and it's still most likely illegal (though I don't have all 50 states tint laws in front of me at the moment) If your going that route, 2 1/2-5% Limo tint always looks real good, and they sure as heck can't see in.

i knew he meant that he was tininting his windows to be like a mirror, and still it is gagsta, jsut like tining the windows blue or green or red, makes me want to wear a shirt that says "you car is neither fast nor furious" like on the anti-rice.com, but then again look at my photoshop car. hmm i wonder if baby jesus would cry if he saw that?

Dark Black Limo tint isn't gangsta, normally. It is illegel in many states, but that doesn't mean it looks bad. It can sometimes look wrong on cars (like on an 84 camry), but it can look really good sometimes. I know for some people, that's the point though...they don't want the whole world seeing their interior and stereo when they park, so they get limo tint. to slove the problem. I think it sure as heck looks better than colored or mirror tint on most cars (though I saw a silver car that looked decent with partial mirror tint once, but that was only once. The top part was mirror tint and blended down into a black tint).

It wasn't partial tint. It was like the tint blended down into sometime else, like when paint gradiually blends down to a brand new color, so it all looks clean and one. It was just like that...It slowly blended down from mirror to black...only time I ever saw it down, and it looked pretty good. Anyone on here that knows me knows I hate wings, fast and the furious wanna-be crap, and all that jazz. Normally, I wouldn't like that type of junk, especially just hearing it described...but if you saw it, it looked pretty good on that specific car. As I said, that was the ONLY time I ever liked it.

Yea, as I said...normally I'd hate that type of crap...but this guy pulled it off. It wasn't a riced out cavalier or civic or something like that though. I forget what they car was, but that car could pull it off. No neon or ricey crap on it, thank god. It looked like it kinda belonged on that car, thats why I saw it kinda looked good.

Yeah, but if you've ever seen a windsheild in person tinted to max legel for the rest fo the car (35% around here) you'd understand why...with the windshield done too, it makes it all look darker, again...it's probably the highttime driving thing with that. Anyways, yea in regards to the above...I didn't think it could look good either until I saw it.

I have mirror tint, it was already tinted like that when I bought the car. It has some good and bad points. On some cars it looks nice and others it don't.
As for legal issues. In CA, you can mirror tint only on rear windows, no front/passager tint.
My sister also has mirror tint, she got fix-it ticket for driver/passanger mirror tint. But the mirror tint for the rear were okay, cop didn't say anything, so she had to take off the front.
Also my front driver/passenger mirror tint is lighter than the rear. Also if you afraid it's illegal, just do what I do, whenever you see a cop, Just roll down all your windows.

I think you are talking about a fader car tint (http://www.tintcenter.com/films/sungard/s_f/). Kinda goes from like shiny silver to grey. Not many tint shops carry it... but it does like different and unique.

I have the half and half tint. it goes from mirror to limo black. its illegal here in NY, but like integra said, once i see a cop i roll them down if they're up. i usually like to personally drive with my windows half way down, so undercover cops cant pull me over. i will post a pic so ya could see what im talking bout....even though most of you guys already know what im talking bout.

Maybe someone wants it to help block out UV rays and keep the car a little cooler when it's parked in the summer (or on occasion when they are up)...and maybe to keep people from being able to see what you've got in your car when you're parked.

Hmm...I swear mine is cooler, maybe I am just crazy, lol...I suppose long term, tint could trap heat in theremaking it hotter...at any rate, tint blocks out UV Rays, which are what deteriorate, damage, and lighten the color of the interior fabric/leather in cars...so that's a plus it blocks out a majority of those.

I've had mine for 2 years and it's still nice and charcoal colored....and my mom's is older than that and is still the proper color...Good tint shouldn't discolor, at least none of the people I know who used good tint had that issue...but not every place uses quailty stuff.
The place I got mine from has a lifetime warrenty on the solargaurd (brand) tint against discoloration, pealing, inproper installation, etc....so if any of tha that happens, I just got to bring my warrenty paper back and have em fix/replace it.

People do have to be careful when it comes to having somone install your tint. i have a friend who let a joe schmoe shop do his tints, and yes, in a year they were purple and somewhat faded. he tried to get them re-done thru their "lifetime" warranty but couldnt because "fade is natural and thats not covered". fuck that, i paid 300 for my tints in 2000 and they are still running string with no noticeable fade.....i made sure that when they said lifetime............they meant lifetime.

Yeah, I was really careful when selecting who did my tint. Same thing, I wanted to make sure lifetime ment lifetime, and that fade would be covered. I found out what was covered for what tint, and I chose based on the tint grades/types that were covered. Not all tints are created eqaul, just like not all installers are the same.
