Lower ball joint removal? Help!

How are you supposed to get that thing out of there? its loose, but its sandwiched bwteen the contol arm and the spindle. it mounts below the control arm, but sildes in the top of the knuckle, snd i cant get enough room to slide it out. I have the pitman arm disconnected, still no help. you dont have to pull the hafl shaft for this , do you?

well, i figured it out if anybody is interested. you have to pull the spindle all the way off because the ball joint still hits the outer cup for the c/v joint . then swap it out and put it back together. a pain in the ass, but doable.
