Power Problem

While starting the redoing of the interior, i wired up 2 15" neon glows with strobe attachments for under the dash through the CD player of my car, and two of the wires accidently touched (ground wire and power source) now the car thinks the doors are still open and it keeps the car lights on, as well as does its normal ding ding stuff. Any clue what the heck is going on? I already replaced all the fuses it blew when they touched, so everything is working fine besides what I just said up there....as well as the power to my cd player now working anymore.

Everything else seems to be in working order. Any suggestions?

Do the older Grand Ams like the one i have, have a seperate fuse box somewhere that i dont know about (2 Fuse boxes...one inside the car and one in the engine)?

Any clue where i can get some wiring diagrams to check this stuff out so i can continue on with the project, and not have to worry about that.
Thanks.
Lee.

PS- It's a 1994 Grand AM SE with the 3.1V6

Quite a few problems mentioned. Let me see if I go this right:

Dome Light Always On

Warning Chime sounding when....ignition OFF and key left in ignition - right?

I would say that the driver door ajar switch wire must be shorted to ground to cause these problems.

Did you say your the power to your CD player is NOT working? Is this an aftermarket or factory radio? If I remember right on your vehicle the battery power to the factory radio came through the Integrated Control and Alarm Module and it had some internal fuses in it, if I remember correctly - you might have blown one of those.

Sorry I don't have any wiring diagrams on this vehicle.

Ok, here's whats going on. The dome lights are on when the key is in the ignition, while the car is running, and when the car is in park with the doors closed. The only thing that is different is the cars door chimes stop when my keys are in the ignition and on. Otherwise, when they are out and the door is closed, it is still ringing.

The cd player is not working, and I believe that they are all hooked up on the same fuse, but i have already replaced all the fuses, and it is still the same. It is an aftermarket cd player. Yeah. After Tearing apart the dash, i found taht the wires from the CD player run to a box on the passenger side, but quite honestly, i have no earthly clue what box it is.

So you think the best bet may be to just take it too a specialist? I hope it doesn't run too much.
Thank you for your help.

Guys, I have had the same problem recently and your post has directed me a little. I have looked for the integrated control and alarm module, but have yet to find it...any idea where its at?

-Interior lights dont work at all, power running to the switch(fog lights/interior dimmer) but no power running out of the switch to the interior lights. tried replacing the switch, same problem.
