The Mummy Returns

Okay y'all. Chances are, you've seen the flick, or know somebody who has. Whaddya think of it? I've gotten mixed reviews from all my buddies. I for one thought it was great. Lots of action, but it was a bit long. More than 2 hours! What do y'all think?

My friends wanted me to go the night I got my computer working, I said no. The next day they all told me it was one of the worst movies they ever saw. Glad I stayed home. :)

I'd see it for Rachel Weisz alone.

I saw it last night and the effects were pretty amazing! They've really come al long way with CGI. It is a bit predictible and pro-american but hey, it's still good. I was glad the Rock plays such a small part.

I saw it and thought it was enjoyable. It was pretty much what I expected it to be.

Pro American? Where the heck did that come from. It wasn't a friggin propaganda film. Although, I did watch Schindlers List and that was definately an anti-color film.

Just as good as the first one, although it seemed like they did a WHOLE LOT of reaching with some stuff . . .

What the heck is up with the pygmies and shit?
What's with that cheesy ass Rock/Scorpion King CGI shit in the end?
What's with the blimp with rocket boosters on it?

Those things kind of ruined it for me . . . I'm afraid they might make another one . . .

I wouldn't mind. heh heh. The sai fighting was tight. I agree. I wish the Rock had just come out in person for the final fight. I guess it was okay, though.

It is pretty good Adam. I also though the blimp was kinda stupid. Rocket Boosters? The Pygmy Soldiers were cool. When I said Pro-American I meant that Brendan Fraser is supposed to be some American guy obviously, who goes into to eygpt with his family and kicks everybody's Ass. I didn't say it was a bad thing, I like Brendan Fraser, he's the closest thing to the next Swarzheneggar (?). I saw Schindler's List last week in History I I'lll tell ya, It was good yet bad movie. I can't watch it twice in a row.

You didn't like Schindler's List? I thought it was great. There were lots of nice little visual cues that really got to me, like the use of red in the film. All in all a great movie. Not my favorite, but nontheless a great film.

No, no, no. I alo thought it was a great film but, it was certain aspects of it that made ithard to watch which is where the "bad" part of it comes from.

Schindlers List is a freaken masterpiece. I was blown away when I saw it, I'm glad there were no Germans around or I mighta gone ape on them. Its a very powerful movie.

You should. It's a really good movie but, Beware. It has some very powerful scenes that are worse than today's movies even. :(
