I'm looking for a shcool/work car since my '99 explorer is really hard on gas; and my pocket book now that gas is like $2.00 a gallon!
But any ways I'm looking a 1990-1993 possibly 1994 Celicas. They are not the GTS Turbos or anything like that but ethier the base model or GT, there is two of them at this used car lot in town.

From what I can tell they are about the same year or a year apart, probably same model (GT or whatever) and 5 speeds. One is black and the other's white, the white one has been there for a while though :uhoh:

Now for my question:

Alot of my friends have been telling me that a Toyota Celica is a "Chicks" car, I kinda agree with them on the newer ones but I am undecided about the early 1990-1995? modles.

If I do get it, I will probably put a turbo, "low profile" body kit on it and stuff like that.

Anyways just wanted to know what everyone's opinions were.

~Thanks~

Celica`s are great cars, GT`s are pretty economical and fast enough to be not boring. Look out for oil leaks and bad repairs though as its a sure sign of neglect and parts are expensive (they are in the UK anyway). I have a 97 GT-four and it certainly aint a girls car.

i have a 1990 gts and its doing pretty good...for some reason i only get like 23 or so miles to the gallon. but if you get a 1990-1994 celica i wouldnt plan on putting a turbo on it and stuff cuz it will cut down on your gas milage and the bang is just not worth the buck for the turbo kit on the 5sfe engine.
