Gto??

Whats up

Just wondering if anyone knows the specs on a car (hp, 1/4 times etc.) on a car that I thought was a Dodge Stealth and had "GTO" on the back of it?? I dont know whether to call my race yesterday an easy win or a good kill!!

well its not a real GTO.. just a name they stuck on to a v-8 grand am look alike to boost sales.. anyway.

i'm not sure of the 1/4mile but i know they claim 350hp. i beleve they are in the 13s.

When I first heard that GM was going to bring back the GTO I got a bit excited. Seeing it was a big let down. Basically it's a Grand Prix with a Camaro engine. Specs 350 HP, high 13's in the 1/4. Not bad for a factory ride but it has no style. Maybe next year they'll get it right after everyone complains and sales suck.

and i heard they spent 20,000,000 to get it to sound "right". i would have done it for 10 bucks and a pizza and would have sounded like a REAL GTO.

It was a 3000GT with Japanese badges then, or a retarded Stealth owner. In Japan, they were called GTO's.

Sorry but you have no idea what you're talking about. The GTO owners love how it sounds since it was patterned after the old GTO's. It's a unique sound. :smokin:

How does a Corvette sound? Pretty good huh? How about a Camaro or Firebird with the ls1? You've obviously haven't heard crap. The new GTO has an exhaust tone that mimics the old GTO exhaust note. I know because I have both new and old. So quit your slamming of the car just to slam it.
