won't hold water

i have a 93 rodeo 3.2. i recently had my thermostat get stuck and my engine overheated and a hose exploded. i re[placed the hose and thermostat and it runs fine. the only problem is it leaks very badly. it is not coming from the hose or the thermostat. i was told that when water pumps start to go out they will leak out of a vent hole but i can't find it. any help would be appreciated

So you can see a puddle under the truck then?

Did you pull the oil stick to see if water is in the oil?

if the water is leaking from near the balancer or under the timing belt cover, its probably the pump is bad. wipe everything off real good, then watch for the first signs of a leak to pinpoint its origin.
