electric trunk release ?

My wife has a 99 intrepid, and the latest problem is that the electric trunk release quit working. I just had a speed sensor in the transmission replaced, and my wife says this car has to be in park for the button to work. Does anyone know where this switch is located? thanks

I have a 98 Intrepid and mine is the same way. In order to open the trunk, I have to have the car in park ... so I think it just comes that way.
