This may be a stupid question, but how on earth are you supposed to replace the tail light bulb on the Ram (recent model years)? I have an'03 and they have the assembly boxed in with sheet metal from the underneath side. On the exterior side there are two screws accessible when you lower the tail gate, but there are still two more screws somehow installed from behind the tail light assembly.
Has anyone had occassion to change the bulb? Any tips?
Thanks,
Jason

drop the endgate, remove the two screws, and the light assembly should slide straight back. there are two extruded pins on the assmebly that hold it in place at the front. they are not actually screws.

And don't touch the bulbs with your fingers when you remove them, it will shorten the bulb life drastically. Wear rubber gloves or handle them carefully or something.

Got it replaced successfully. Thanks. I couldn't tell how those pins worked. Just by peering in at them, they looked like screws that had to be removed from the back side, and that was throwing me for a loop.
