everybody says "you need a bigger FMIC".
one side is hot, one side is cold. that tells me that its doing its job. it may not look BLING BLING 30" wide 20" tall, but it does the job and thats all that matters. :P
oh, btw, im running back down to JasonParker's house today to tune this beast on his wide band o2 and work on some mapping. last night, i switched to stock pr3 maps, with low cam maps below 4400 rpm, and high cam maps above 4400 rpm to account for the 59300 cam & VTEC. running 16BTDC base timing, stock fuel pressure, and a very conservative .70 degree linear boost retard.

Well If you look at the bottom inlet on the right side (driver side) of his bumper...u can see one of the pipes.

oh yeah....
Is there a point where a fmic becomes too big for gains?

It may not be the best looking FMIC...but i'd rather have one that doesn't look the greatest (but works good) than no FMIC at all and risk fucking up a bunch of stuff that I paid good money for, lol.

there is a limit for length when it is no longer cooling the air any more (charge temps down to ambiant). There is also a limit for hight and thickness when your not flowing enough air to need it, you dont want it because it increases spool up time (like running 3" charge pipe on a 6psi HMT setup, it's not worth it).

Yeah, I dont know about FMIC's for a fact, but I do know you can run too large of a radiator and it will accually make it run hotter.

I'll admit it dont look as cool as some 800 dollar spearco that takes up the whole grille, designed for 900hp, but i dont really care about looks :P
eventually i'll have to upgrade it, but for now, the only mods im planning on doing is fabricating an intercooler sprayer with co2, and upgrading to my stainless steel manifold and a rebuilt T3 (.42/.48, or .60./.48 if i can find the parts)
this setup is gonna stay around for a while until i get my new secret project built up, which will take a while ;)
