hey i am wondering what this noise could possibly be...ok just got a new crx everytime i start it i shoot out a pile of dark waterish oil...here i am going down the road a few night ago my car starts hesitating to go i would have to down shift to cetch back up if not rpms just drop rapidly like timing is bad....but heres the cetch as it was doing that there was a loud pinging noise....look under hood see anything loose or anything and there wasnt...so i came to a conclusion that it only made the loud clinging noise when i would step on the gas...anybody know what this could possibly...i deciding the pining noise can be my head took it off i cant see nothing worng with it....so here i am unbolting everything tonight got it ready come on out tomorrow with a cherry picker thinking it might be a rod bearing.....my guess only....wonder if any you had this problem before if so let me know what you think it might be thanks

Could also be rings bad scoring the side of the cycl. Sounds like a fun rebuild though. Also if you pull it to replace bearing spend the extra and rebuild the whole thing you will thank yourself later.
