hurst shifter

well i just got my shifter from UPS today from summit. im changing my 68 from a column to a floor shifter. ive never done this before. im gonna do it the way the directions tell me to but if anyone has any easy ways of mounting it and any other tips and tricks lemme know. i would greatly appreciate it.

is it an auto matic or one of those three on the tree set ups ? I switch out a three on the tree one time with a floor mount 3 speed for an old C-10 pick up I had then the engine blew XD

But yeah , floor or center store shifters are way better

I got my 68 chevelle butchered from 3 on the tree and they cut a hole in the floor for the new hurst shifter. Looks ugly as hell but I don't care.

well today i noticed that i received my shifter broke. no biggie tho. it just the plastic piece that goes around the light bulb for the display. it snapped off in the box or something. but summit is gonna contact hurst and get me a new assembly. oh and i have to vent here. I HATE CIVICS. i had to do a converter on a 91 today and it took me 5 hours because i had to take the company truck (really beat up GMC) an hour away to get the stupid parts from the honda dealer. cause the honda dealer by us didnt have the parts. so i get back and i start on it and i find out that it needs cat back also. (holes everywhere. the tech that looked at it didnt seem to see the holes i guess) so i was getting this ghetto lady her estimate and she starts bitching at me cause the price is so high....it was $191 for the cat back. now i have to go back to work (im on lunch) and do an alignment :( sorry i just had to vent to all my camaro buddies.
