2002 Spec-v Rack and Pinion Problems

I am having problems with my rack and pinion steering. At about 23,000 miles the power steering fluid was leaking and the dealer said they had to fix the rack and pinion steering. Now at 35,500 there is a popping/thumping noise when I turn at low speeds and the dealer says it is the rack and pinion steering. Up to this point it's ok b/c it is under warranty but I am concerned about what happens after 36,000 miles. Is this a common problems with spec-v's or sentras or nissans?

definitely not a common problem. you need to go to the dealer and demand they fix it, before time runs out.
