Doing Donuts, does it hurt The Car??

Ok, just got a 95 bird/4.6 V8 with 122,000 HIGHWAY miles. This car is super clean, i love it. Only thing i added was kn panel air filter(not much i know). This baby also has literally brand new goodyear eagle's(LS version which has bad traction on dry land)-better for donuts. So, today i felt like wearing theses out a bit, being very wide tires (225 60 16) this should turnout well. I get into a nice open lot, nobody around, nice dry ground and turn my wheel at around 5mph, and just floor it.... Man i could have held this burnout for a long long time, but i stopped after about 2 full 360's, about 6 seconds. The white smoke was freaking sick, what a beast. I know this kills the tires like mad, and even strains the tranny, but does doing donuts like these hurt the engine/and other organs in the car. Also, i have all my tires at 35 psi in cold, should i leave the tires at the recomended 30 psi thats on the door?? I like the least rolling resistance(almost like a bike with semi flat tires, hard to ride then harder tires/engine works overtime).. Thanks alot everyone.
PS.. BTW, don't forget to leave the tank only 1/4 full if you want better burnouts, a full tank is way to much weight.

8lbs/gallon is all fuel weighs. Agressive driving with less than 1/4 tank can cause your pump to be 'dry', and lead to early failure. Common drag racing mistake. 15g's of fuel is only 120lbs.
You will hurt and damage parts on your car by doing 360's and beating the heck out of it. But don't let me discourage you - because I know how fun it is.
But I also know that if and when my car breaks it's my own damn fault for abusing it.
Expect to fix brakes, wheel bearings, rear end gear pod+half shafts, and tranny when you regularly drive like that.
At least it'll hold up to abuse better than a Honda - welcome to AF.

Thanks man, btw, just once in a while i do donuts, today i kinda beat on it to see what it's got-and i love it. Feels good though when you pull into a parking lot at night, where all the vw jetta's and integra guys are chillin, and just pull off and make some smoke.
PS.. I can honestly say though, i wanna have this car for at least the next couple of years, even if i need to get some major repairs, it's worth it. Being happy with WHAT you drive is key.

Welcome to Af man and yes anytime you drive like that you are putting a lot of strain on your ride but I know its fun and addicting so if your willing to make repairs keep at it and have fun
P.S. keep some fuel in the tank because the fuel moves with the motion of the car. Have fun be careful and don't wreck

If you have a limited slip or posi type rear end and you do donuts with one wheel smokin, you WILL burn up the clutches in the rear end. What this does is turn it into a regular open style rear end where only one tires spins, usually the right rear.
If you have an open rear end to begin with, go ahead and smoke the tires. Since you don't mind replacing worn half shafts and other parts, go for it.

If you wanna do burnouts just go easy on it man, i learrned from expierience when i once had a 1997 Volkswagen Trek.... The thunderbird takes one hell of a beatin and keeps on tickin, but still, if your gonna do everything make sure you car is running good and you dont have any worn parts or failing parts. whatever you do, just keep your car clean haha

Heh, don't worry man. I currently drive a 97 blazer (damnit, I hate the thing more than I hate... chevy itself,) and I do donuts in it. When my parents demanded that I take it in for a checkup, the mechanic(s) said that she was in great shape for her age. Either the mech's were high or chevy ACTUALLY made a vehicle worth a damn.
(PS, I hope to have a thunderbird in a week, that's why im in these forums).

Yeah they're great cars. They have a nice flow to them, pretty aerodynamic.
