Hyde gets some bling bling

Just about 2 weeks ago, I had a photographer from modified magazine check out my car at ATCO. I must confess that I was 100% embarrased to show him my engine bay .... I have spent so much time going fast, that I spent no time making Hyde presentable. :(

So I immediately went to work on the whole car.
The interior is great ... it is the engine bay and the exterior that needed something ...

Exterior shots will be coming within the week ... you'll have to wait to see what changed there. ;)
So here is what I did to the engine bay inthe last 2 weeks:

It's hard to see in the photo ... the powder coating is metallic flake ... which means it sparkles in direct sun light :)
This photo was taken today and it is over cast ... I'll try to get some sunny day pics another time (after the intake manifold gets done).

I realize it is not the sexiest engine out there, but I just started ... and I am dealing with 200,000 miles of crud :D

... if you look at the red valve cover, you can see there is a lot of whitish bubbling/flaking in the middle

The blue GReddy hoses were extrememly dirty. The 2 that are priminent are easier to keep clean. The others were really bad.
I also went to T-bolt clamps on everything.

The downpipe is 3"

As for cleaners - which photo are you talking about - engine bay or turbo?

The turbo photo is when it was brand new, that is why that is clean.
Teh engine bay photos I did not even clean the negine, just got all those pipes powder coated and added new hoses and hose clamps :D
