98 ranger starting problems

I have a 98 ranger 4.0l that turns over several times before starting, acts like after it sits a long time the fuel does not stay primed and ready to start. I was thinking maybe fuel pump? Can anyone help?

How long since you've had a tuneup? Did it just start this? You should be able to here the fuel pump for about 5 seconds when you first turn your key on. You could also check fuel pressure.Also try some injector cleaner.Good Luck!
