So I'm working on this '55 Buick for this shirt thing I'm doin. It's going pretty well so far.

I've drawn the car a few times and I'm currently working on the stage before the stage that I will actually transfer to my inking paper.

I'm still making notes and working out bugs as I go along.

Here's a shot of part of the grill, as compared to my reference.

I'm not really going for realism with this as I find the not quite real pieces to be fun for shirts. The clients seem to dig it, and I get to be a little more liberal in my overall interpretation.

You can see how I kinda simplify the shapes and add a little flare to them. I also have notes for what's gonna be solid black, and I dug in on some spots so when I go to redraw it that area will act as an indicator and trigger me to remember whatever.

I'm still not through with this area but I thought I'd share. After I get more done or some darks in it before the computer part I'll re-share.

p.s. Note to self fix the hood line.

I really like the way you simplify your reflections lemorris.

Keep it up!

looks pretty real to me so far.

i think when you ink it for the final stage it may take on the stylized thing that you speak of.
