I am currently looking for a new digital camera and was wondering if there is anyone who knows a lot about digital cameras that can help me. I am looking for a camera in the price range of $350 to $500. I am currently looking at the Olympus C-750 Ultra Zoom,Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10PP-K, and Kodak easy share dx6490. I was wondering if any of you guys with good knowledge could help me choose the one with which one that has the best quality picture and best macro mode.

well out of the 3 you say there, only the Olympus is a good camera.
Take a look at Fuji and Nikon too
Nikon Coolpix 5700, 5000. 4500 and 3200 are all good choice
Fuji Fuji FinePix S7000, S5000, 4900, 2800, A330 are good cam too.
For modelling, Nikon have the best Macro mode.

IMO, this is the best digital camera review site:
Imaging Resource (http://www.imaging-resource.com/)
Reviews are most in-depth, with lots of standardized test pics (so you can compare each digicam fairly). Everything is here, he even tests specs that aren't released normally by manufacturers (like shutter lag times for different modes, start-up time, shut-down time, etc)
If you want reviews that are not as lengthy, go here instead:
Steves Digicams (http://www.steves-digicams.com/)

IMO Nikon has one of the best Macro modes on the market. Olympus had some nice ones as well. The whole Coolpix line is known for Macro and are very affordable. For your price range you could get a really nice Nikon. I spent $220 for my 3.2MP Nikon 3200 as my priority was Macro. Everyday pics turn out really good as well. A good beginners camera or (for a person like me) the occasional digital camera user.
Unless you're printing a lot of 8"x10" photos anything over 3.2MP is a waste IMO. If you're transferring all your photos on the web like most people 3.2MP quality cameras are the way to go.
All my model pics on my page (in signature) are taken with the Nikon Coolpix 3200.

Thanks man, I'm also looking for a good quality camera. I will try to pick up a Nikon Coolpix series. Is the 2.0 M.P series any good also? I've seen one on sale for $149.00

yes i agree. Nikon is very good for taking macro mode pics.
No matter what camera you got, remember to get one with optical zoom.

You can probably get hold of an olympus c4000 pretty cheap, its one of last years models but the image quality is superb, with a 4million pixel resolution and a nice bright clear lens. It has all the modes you need, including a full manual mode. The marco mode is really good, and it has a "super macro" mode that goes down to 2cm for ultra close-up shots.
Thats what i use- see the first post of the porsche meet thread for some examples of the pictures you can get from it.
laters,
matt.

I think you should get a Nikon. I got a Coolpix 4500 and itīs the second best camera I have used.
I have tried a Sony, well I donīt want to say anything about this, it had less optins then my five year old Fuji 1,3 MP. I have also tried a Olympus 4MP, it was good, but was a bit simple for me and it could have a better macro. My dad has a Canon 3,2MP itīs good, only itīs a bit hard to set up the light and it could use a better macro. The best camera I have tested was a Canon 7MP and costed $3000, so that's something else.
Here are some pics I have taken with my Nikon at shows.

This model is less then 2cm long.

I couldn't get my head this close and see this sharp.
