parking garage entry

the lift on my cj7 or the tires make the vehicle to large for sensors to read and open the gate into a public garage, any hints?

lower the lift or get smaller tires, maybe both? :-P if its that important...

my stepdad has troubles with his stock truck not sitting off fast food drivethru sensors...so shrug :(
