I have a 2004 quad cab 1500 4x4 5.7L Hemi not even a year old with some issues. I've had to have the calipers replaced twice because of pulling to the right, and rotors and pads changed once because of brake squeaking. Now, there's a wonderful noise that goes clank when you go from reverse to park, or drive to neutral. The dealer tells me it's normal and there is a little gapping in the tranny. How many of you guy's put your vehicles into gear and expect to hear a clank because that's what it's supposed to do. I didn't think so. Any info on this problem sure would be appreciated.
I also have a 2003 quad cab 1500 2x4 4.7L that like's to cut off when you're driving. Normaly in the turns. The wife has almost wreck 3 different times because of it. You lose all power except for electrical, no brakes or steering. Anyone heard of the 2003's having vaccum problems with there engine's?

your 2003 probaly has a fuel pump problem.your 2004 may be idling to high or the rear brakes aren't adjusted up enough.A 4x4 will make alot more noise selecting gears then a 2 wheel drive......terry

If you don't like what they bought, don't come to their forum. If I see you in here again insulting the vehicles they drive, I will ban you.

I was reading in the Toyoda forum that owners were experinencing this problem, their solution was greasing the slip yolk on the drive shaft. Manufactures aren`t putting grease fittings in their drivetrain parts. I think this is causing lots of trouble for the consumer with premature wear.Permently lubricated my a_ _! Can you you really trust a parts supplier whose bottom line is squeezed by the automaker to take the time to addicquitly greese their parts before assembly? With no greese fitting no assurence. I like greese fittings I crawl under my truck every 3 months with the greese gun. more often than not as greese goes in water comes out :2cents:
