I'm buying a 1989 240sx tomorrow for freakin 300 dollars. it was given to a charity but they don't want it so i'm gonna take it. I'm putting in the sr20det with a friend of mine who's a mechanic but have heard some rumors that this swap isn't that simple. i've heard there are some rediculous complications with the wiring. are there anymore things i'm gonna have to be aware of before i go spend about 4,000 within a month?

get the front clip...everything you will need. Harness, ecu, tranny....just make sure you take pics of every step and mark every hose before you start yacking stuff out. Makes it easier to put together.

it cost a little bit more but when u have everything u need then its all good , because ur gana need alot of stuff like the intercooler, hoes's harnesses , cables , stuff like that that with out its gana be hard to find.

hm. . .but instalation wise is it gonna be a bitch to do or does it fit like a glove? and should i send my turbo off to get it worked on? 'cause my mechanic said i'd prolly want to do that 'cause it's obviously used and could use to get worked on 'cause it might up the boost

again depends on what u want to get if u get a red top of course turbo has to be rebuilt , and yes it drops in like a glove only hard part is the wireing of the harness from sr to ka trust me its a bitch, but if u save up some money and drop a s14 front clip in to your 240 ur turbo will be ok for the first 4000 depending on the condition of the clip so again the more money u save and have to spend the better
