Interesting little mod. What do you all think?

Didn't a guy come on here and say that this fucked his car up or something. Not sure, but I would just get a aftermarket filter

dude!... i wouldn't bet on intake on some wimpy unreliable zip ties to hold it. you know what'll happen if that thing slips and snaps right?.. might as well spend a few bucks on an aftermarket one like ashah said. it's only a few bucks.! my 2 cent

Yea at the end of that thread some other dude told him to cut the bottom of the airbox leaving a lip around the side, so you could still use the same clips that hold the airbox together, just upside down. No, I wouldn't trust zip ties to hold it together lol.

I'm not planning to do this to my car, I'll be going with the K&N Fipk I believe.

I judged the guy's intelligence by the fact that he is trying to get 'more power' out of a dirty air filter. Have fun when dirt goes through your expensive turbo and even more expensive engine.

If you put a sticker on your intake even if the filter's dirty you're good for an extra 50 horses.
