Your drawings are pretty good. As far as the shading what kind of paper are you using? It looks like medium grit. Also, what blending tools are you using?

I just looked through all your drawings. Heres something good to know, you are getting better as you grow older. The drawings from 8th grade to high school is a drastic improvement.

GOOD JOB on the hair on the dogs and people, that can be hard sumtimes, your drawings are very good. the shading on the cars needs to be darker and then it will show more value and look more realistic. The tire on one of those cars is too big tho, i cant remember which one but its noticable

Thanks for the comments....Paper, I'm not sure what kind it is actually it says medium weight, lightly textured. Blending tools: fingers, eraser, and on the older ones I used some kind of blending stump.

When it comes to the animals...all I have to say is SKILLZ. You do great work, I think I like the 2nd one on the high school sketchbook the best. The black dog with the red background, that is sweet. For the cars...you did a great job on the proportions, except on the camaro the tires are too big, and the shading is good, but like you said they scanned in pretty light. Great work :)

I reccomend Bristol Smooth paper, it will make your shading look a lot well...smoother. Glad to see youre using stumps, they really smoothen the shading.

AHH, you shouldnt use your fingers for shading, cuz fingers have oil on them, and messes it up

sumone else should explain it better, stumps are the best (stump or stomp???i never knew the real name for it)

I used to use a stump or whatever its called but I feel it can be a quick way to shade when if you put the time and effort into it you can accomplish the same thing with skill and patience without using a shading tool. Thanks about the black "dog" it's actually a wolf and for some reason it scanned in kind of narrow so it got a little distorted. Anyway thanks again.

I've only been drawing cars for a few months. The only car pictures I've drawn are actually the ones on my website.

I think you should take art classes. That is just me though.
I mean there is always something new/more to learn.

i think theyre pretty good..even my scanner does tend to throw shading off (makes it lighter)
