What tools are good for cutting styrene? I'm having trouble getting good, clean cut pieces of styrene. Also, when I apply decals, should I apply them before or after I put on polishing compound?

Well, I use a brand new bladed exacto knife when I cut my styrene, a few good passes is all you really need. Im not sure about the polishing question, I would imaging that you apply the decals, but make sure you give them a few days to really set, then you should be able to polish right over them

I'm using just a razorblade. No handle or anything. I should pick up some with handles this weekend. Thanks for the help.

Styrene dowels and rails I use a carbide exacto....I use carbide exacto for everything. Styrene tubes i use sharp clipper/nipper applying slight pressure while turning 1/4 of a turn until cut through. Styrene sheets I use quality scissors.
Decals after compound assuming you didn't clearcoat over them.
