[SIZE=2]Hello I just finished my sohc zc swap in my 88 hatch dx and I must say it went sort of smooth. Thank those of you who helped me figure out my distributor problem, but now that I have it installed there is still problems. I first would like to see how the intake hoses connect to my car. It seems versus readers rides I have a couple extra hose on my manifold. Then there is the problem of idle and acceleration meaning basicly my car will only run sometimes and when I tap the gas it either dies or back fires followed by death. The crank angle sensor code keeps popping up but there doesnt seem to be anything wring with the dizz. So long story short do I also have to search for a teg ecu, or can I follow dmoore and get away with dx std ecu for now at least? If anyone has a different link to some wiring diagrams with pics or details let me know. I gotta go to work some day :banghead:

get a teg or an Si ECU, the DX ecu will not have any programming for the flow rate of the injectors which i believe is a big factor with this swap. did you upgrade the fuel system?

thanks but no fuel system upgrades. I feel like there are though because of the whole "tokyo racer zero" feeling you know where you rev the exhaust and just when you let off it blows fire and popps hard. except mine cuts almost completely out before it runs then there is still no power to move the car she just bangs. I'm trying to get an si ecu on the bay but I don't think I'll win.

well you might be better off posting in the 88-91 forum, the newer generation car makes a big difference in trouble shooting
