What do you consider "a hell of alot of gas"? Have you checked the actual mileage? I have checked mine from day one off the lot, and it consistently gets 16-21mpg depending on driving conditions. Will need to know what your definition of a lot is before it can be determined if it is too much. If it's in the range, there isn't a whole helluva lot you can do. If it's not, there are many things that can be done.
