Got raped by a Base Celica GT

How the fuck is this even possible? I asumed the 2000 RS Eclipse 5 speed had 155 hp. Now granted it was a girl driving(=\) she had an automatic and I weight like 250 pounds and IM 6'4 and she was a scrawny skinny sexy little bitch so she had the weight advantage. But still considering how much more torque mine has I should have been able to run with it dont you think? And yes I drive very well. oh yah 2003 Celica GT, with that sport tronic crap. oh I should say that My struts are blown so all the power wasnt hitting the wheels.

FYI, that 154hp you have, is really only 117whp, where it matters most, on the ground.

The Celica is lighter, as similar power output, and the sporty tranny may have better gearing than you.

pshh what eva in either case the car is slow as balls. If they were gonna switch to Sohc why the fuck didnt they raise the red line and make the torque curve longer D=<

there is definitly something wrong with this picture. i have a 00 gs with injen intake and magflow exhaust so im pushing like 178 horse and i can eat celica gts with ease. what do you have done to yours?

178 at the crank, prolly not more than 135 to the ground which is closer to what a Celica GT puts down, but i thought they had like 150-160 to the ground and they weight like 200lbs less than the i4 model eclipse and 4-500 less than the V6 models i'm gunna raise my bs flag that u can beat those

dude ru smoking crack...ive got a gt...5 speed with a AEM cai and im probably pushing 180 horse, and i cant even beat a gts with ease...your lucky if you have 120 horse

the 91 celica gts barely makes 130 hp at the fly.

oh and the older celica GTS's were heavier than the GT coupes with the same power.

I saw a 4 banger 2000 eclipse(stock) smoke a 2003 celica GT with intake and TRD exhaust. I smoked em both in my GTS but my car has intake header exhaust Apex SAFCII and soon to be UR pulleys, I did walk with a RX8 the other day on the street I was right on his tail, it was funny I dunno how quick they are though:grinno:

and i've heard of 2000+ celica gt smoke 2000+ eclipse 6 bangers.

maybe the sportronic ones, or ones that misshift, i don't think i've ever had a chance to run one, but most eclipses i've heard have been able to take them

there are many factors to consider besides hp.

1) driver
2) auto/ manual
3) mods... suspension/catback/header etc.
4) good day... bad day.
5) weight.... driver's weight...cars weight... added mod weight etc.
6) nos stickers :)

ya true but the way you said it was sounding stock for stock...i still think if the celica gt was 5 speed and the eclipse gt was auto it would still win...no doubt...stock for stock
