I got my Cobra for $75. I really like it, seeing as how it's already saved me probably 2-3 speeding tickets =)

In all honesty just slow down. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk about that or anything but..
1) cops are doing there job
2) there is a reason for speed limits
I speed myself but you just have to be cautious where you do it.
In PA only state troopers can use radar. Meaning your radar detector will only work on state troopers. So you will only get a warning most likly on a major road.
The rest of the local police are forced to use timing lines. There is no way to get out of those tickets. You just have to know where they are and slow down when you are in them. Same with timing lines on the highway here helicopters watch them so you have no chance to catch a cop unless you see a helicopter and slow down.
Drive in the center lane, don't go rediculously fast (say 65 in a 55) and drive in the center of a pack not out front. You should be just fine then. I've been driving 3 years like that and never got pulled over. I also know where all the timing lines though are and dodged many tickets that way.

"Drive in the center lane, don't go rediculously fast (say 65 in a 55)" if thats rediculously fast then im a monkey. i go faster then that on a daily basis going down route 30 (55 mph limit) but pa speed limits are slow as hell anyway. my strategy is if you cant see far enough ahead to slow down then you shouldn't be going that fast there

my suggetion was 65 in a 55. I'm not saying thats rediculously fast. Rediculously fast is 110 in a 40. (My friend got pulled over for that one)

lol... check the Val1 website:
http://valentine1.com/
this thing blows the comp out of the water. i was going to buy 1 and got a ticket that week that would have been easily avoided...
the best part it the 'bogey counter'
read that whole website [even the stories are funny] and you will be convinced...

i think if you add up the $$ you would save in tix compared to the price, you could pay for any of the cheaper detectors easily 3 times over, but i am worried about statistics, like no matter what you are going to get a ticket if you drive illegaly. with the Val1, you are just way ahead of the curve statisticly....

The cobra will be the most for your money. Thats what i have and it works just fine. The EScort is the top of the line....It will scrable the radar detector so that cops cant even tell how fast your going. its got other tricks that will mess with the copsI would get the escort if you really need a good one but other than that my cobra works just fine.

In Connecticut, the cops got new radar that can detect your speed up to amile and a half away. That got one of my boys arrested yesterday. He was driving 110 on the highway and they charged him with reckless endangerment. I guess it would be worth the money for a good radar detector.

that valentine looks pimp, but i can't afford that right now.
