If any of you have seen any of my previous posts on the problem with my car not wanting to start... I now am 90% sure that my problem lies within the alarm system that was on the car when i bought it, the previous owner only cut the wires to the speakerthing... but the alarm is still engaged or w/e... and it has all kinds of shit going to the starter and motor and stuff.. it has a starter lock and all kinds of locks... i know where the control box is for it and ive tried unplugging the wires and the car wont do anything if wires are taken out... The system is a Code Alarm Night Hawk 4.0 ... im not sure what date it was installed or anything, im just pretty sure this is the problem... if anyone has any information on how to remove the whole alarm system... please let me know, i would greatly appreciate it.

I know Code Alarms are junk but they are set up to where the car should still start even if the brain is unplugged. Well, this is true for normal installs anyway. I suggest going to www.bulldogsecurity.com and looking up your car's wiring diagram and slowly take out the alarm. It's really not to hard. The only thing that you really need to look for is the starter kill relay and take it out or bypass it. It will be connected to your starter's wires and will be easy to find. Hope this helps :2cents:

PLEASE!!!! I've followed all of your posts...I sent you an email....did you ever solve the problem? I feel like someone tore the last chapter out of the book!

I'm having the same (or similar) problem. Sometimes (no discernable pattern) it just is silent...no click, no whir, nothing. All other systems a go...radio OK, blower fan OK, light ok....just no start.

Starter replaced twice, battery replaced, alarm removed by the people who installed it...still no fix. Did you find the problem with yours?

I'm going to try the grounding kit tomorrow, if possible.
