question about selling?

I just had a 2002 chevy malibu passed down to me with just 1100 miles on it so I've decided to keep it and try to sell my eclipse and I'm curious how much I should ask? It's a light grey 97' stock RS with 64,000 miles, 16'' tires with american racing rims, premium sound system/cd player..I bought it with 39,000 miles and I haven't had one problem with it except for the cheap costco tires I had to replace recently.I was thinking of asking around $7,500-$8,200 for it?

The book on the car is like $5900. If you think you can get more out of it, try to sell it higher. Whether or not you get buyers is the only way to figure out what the demand in your city is.
