Belt Noise when turning left

I have a whistling noise (like a loose fan belt does when accelerating), but it happens only when turning the wheel to the left. Turning right is fine. I thought it may be the belts as there was close to 50k miles on them so had both belts replaced. The work was done by the dealership as I had a 50$ voucher and it was 40 bucks to have it done. I rechecked the tension to make sure they didn't mess up and it is all nice and snug with about 1/2" give when pressing down. Anyone have any ideas?
Someone told me it could be the alternator, but it still charges fiine and I've had this problem for quite some time.

does it steer ok both ways
check fluid level
possible relief valve in pump (hissing noise)
pressure hose touching other part (growl)
faulty control valve (swish)
power steering pump (groan,growl,whine)

Yes, it steers fine both ways, and i've checked the ps fluid levels when both cold and hot. I can eliminate the pump as it doesn't whine, groan or growl. My wifes Lumina was doing that when she failed to tell me and ended up replacing it. If I had to describe it, I would say it's more of a whistling noise than anything. I'm completely at a loss as to the cause, but don't want to pay out the yin-yang to have it diagnosed.

I've had the same problem for some time now. I tried spraying the steering knuckle like someone had suggested...that didn't work...someone else said it was the rubber flap on the firewall that the steering column goes through, he also said to spray that...no luck...i've pretty much just given up

well all i can say on this one is if it dois it when not moving, have someone turn wheel and see if you can narrow in on where it is comming from pump, hoses, steering box, steering shaft, front end (maybe a dry tie rod end, ball joint,or idler arm, maybe a bushing)
don't turn left
turn up the radio
don't turn left
turn up the radio

I'll check that tomorrow and post findings once i can narrow it down. It's more annoying than anything.
