I bought a carbeurated 1987 CRX about 6 months back and it is starting to give me some problems. Every now and then the engine will cut out when I have the clutch pushed in to get into 2nd gear to make a turn. I'm not sure, but many times it seems to happen when I push in the clutch and turn on the turn signal at the same time. I am at a loss as to what is causing it. I have replaced the battery but this apparently didnt fix the problem. If anybody has experienced the same problem and knows how to fix it, please let me know. My AIM sn is ptsPhoenix1986
Thanks in advance.

mine did that (the '84 too) it was the needle valve in the carb... it comes with the carb kit : GP Sorensen #96-591 the other gaskets are not needed for this, just the top gasket and the o-rings. These are pretty simple carbs. You can adjust the accelerator cable or the idle screw on the carb-left side if you are facing it (passenger side of the car). The only downside to increasing the idle is dieseling. Preignition is bad for the head if it happens too much.
You can see my car on sounddomain/cardomain in 1987 CRX's. I think it is the 3rd page. Look for "CRXdrivingPANDAbear".
The paint was done by hand. People told me spray paint would look bad. Dur to my being a stubborn art major, I was determined to experiment and prove them WRONG!!
