the best track performance would be a toss-up between the elise, mr, and corvette. even though the elise is the slowest in acceleration, it handles the corners so beautifully. for the car i would like to own, i would choose the elise, i want two doors, so that rules out the mr, and i want to have something different, so that rules out the mustang and corvette.

Gotta go with the Corvette. The Elise and Evo MR are great cars also. Not too fond of the new Mustang tho...

The Elise is an incredible car that I've wanted to some to the US for a very long time.

The new Vette should be great, cant wait for a Z06

New EVO is pretty good, but not a whole lot different from the regular Evo VIII

I kinda like the new mustang. Supposedly it has alot of potential and should be an awesome drag machine

The Elise will win on a track, I'm mighty confident of that.

The Corvette is a scorcher as well, hopefully fuel prices will come down and they'll release it in Europe, might consider putting my name down for one in 3 or 4 years.

The Evolution MR is meh, I'm sorry, but I'm so used to seeing hundreds of Evo's all driven by shitheads ('Cept the really hardcore lot and WRC stars) - but I'm sure it'll be a good car.

i just dont like the looks. its nothing against imports but it kind of looks like rice to me but thats just my opinion.

considering that the MR doesn't have the wing, and the front bumper cover is UBER functional...

like i said on my last post. i just dont like the look of it. it gives me a rice vibe. but i guess its more like a race car vibe. correct me if im wrong but i heard it doesnt come with a radio or an ac? yes that car can hang with v8s but the 03 cobra which is force inducted too can hang w/ v10s and some v12s. and i wouldnt consider a saleen body kit rice unless it's on a v6 mustang. the saleen S281-E is a brute it can dip into the 11s. is that your prelude? the yellow one? if it is you could have a sleeper on your hands. sorry for taking long. i was washing the truck.

the corvette tails are going to throw people off, but it's by no means going to be outlandish...
unless you consider yellow paint that burns your retinas outlandish... ;)

i agree on the race car vibe...
for me, rice is the race car vibe on a car that doesn't use it, or use it correctly (big alum. wings come to mind, especially when not adjusted for downforce)

i can't really consider anything that comes factory on a car to be ricey...

IE.
integra type R basket handle wing: functional in autocross, and highway speeds

wrx/evo wings/bumpers/skirts/wheels/etc. allllll functional pieces.

hell, the original wing on my car (small as it was) made a difference in downforce at higher speeds.

i took the wing off to smooth the car, and the rear gets squirelly at higher speeds (110+ going around a tight curve on the freeway)...

it's one thing to have functional parts, it's another to use them PROPERLY, which is where rice comes in.

same as the parts on the evos, and even the saleen...
a stock v6 mustang with a saleen kit and stock drivetrain is domesticated rice to me...

Hate to start crap with you, but when your talking about the EVO, then expect to hear from me. I'm not talking styling, cuz beauty is the eye of the beholder and to me the EVO MR looks awesome. I'm talking performance, I know you like Mustangs and all that but don't be blinded by biasm. The Cobra you mentioned does the 1/4 mile in the 12s and 0-60 in 4s, um so does the EVO MR, so what the heck are you talking about? Let me ask you this, does the 2003 Cobra have skidpad numbers over .95g, I'll answer for you, NO. Does the 2003 Cobra slalom over 70MPH+, I'll answer for you again, NO. Can the 2003 Cobra brake from 60-0 in under 110FT, I'll answer for you, NO. Does the 2003 Cobra or Saleen have anything to do with this comparison, once again I'll answer for you, NO.

Im sorry didn't know I wasn't allowed to respond to what you type, I explained why I responded already so enough about that. Let's not forget that the Cobra R cost well over $10,000 on the MR, and since you brought the limited edition Cobra R out, I'll pull out the limited edition EVO FQ330. Also like I said the Cobra has nothing do with this topic.

This is a tough one if you ask me, the Ford is the only one I would NOT pick in this situation. While I do like the way it looks compared to the previous Stang's its just not enough to be appealing to me.

The Evolution has to have an even greater bang for the buck than a Z06 Corvette, a really impressive handling, and performing car! However, as nice as it looks, its not nearly as beautiful as a Corvette or an Elise, but thats MY opinion.

The Elise.. is an outstanding car. Ive driven two of them, and the handling of that car on the autobahn at high speeds is impressive. Owning an Esprit previously, I have a hard time going against Lotus... But I really think Chevrolet raised the standard again with the C6.

The C6 alone is an impressive car. Yet, Im looking forward to the convertible which is being released the same year. Im already planning on buying one the second they begin to be sold. Beauty, performance.. I can't get enough of the Corvette. This is coming from someone who is not really a fan of Chevrolet. I prefer European cars.

I'll take the new 2006 mustang cobra or the new 2006 corvette Z06 over the lotus or the evo.

If God were to come down from heaven and hand me the keys to any one of these cars, I'd say, "Gimme the Evo, bitch!"

But if I were to buy one of these myself, I'd go with the Mustang GT, since the bang-for-buck in a straight line is incredible.
