I apologize in advance, being new to the Sylvia forum. I know this topic has probably been covered millions of times but I was wanting to know if any of you have or know how to import an S15 from Japan into the US? Is it done in the same fashion as Motorex does with Skylines? Any info would help me out.

make it a trailer queen for the tracks or buy a s13 from the junkyard and swipe vin #'s and drive it around as a s13 in the hopes that u don't get caught and go to prison while the s15 gets destroyed

Anyone know anything about Chris of VIS Racing and how he imported an S15 Silvia which is already getting lots of mods? The short time I knew him he could import almost any aftermarket part you pointed at in Option magazine. I seriously doubt he would let this one go to the yard for wrecking.
btw This is in Socali (San Gabriel?); I also saw recently with my own eyes a stock gunmetal grey S15 cruising around. Screw Motorex and any plans for the S15 chassis legalization, its too expensive. There has got to be an underhanded way that works... :evillol:

that car is not road legal.
There are plenty of japanese companies that'll import stuff without any thought.

Here is a little info I stumbled across, not substanciated yet....
Check the RBMotoring site---they say they have plans to start doing Silvia legalization--no specific date. Contact them for more info if you are interested. I have, and maybe a whole bunch of people doing it will make them hurry!

I just called RBMotoring last night about the Silvia on they're site, they said they can't and won't be able to import the Silvia into the US. But, they also can't import a Skyline. I'm gonna check out Motorex and see what they have to say about it...I'll keep ya posted.

There is no S/PS13 Silvia in the US. The closest thing is the MS13 240SX coupe.

Yeah I wish we got the S13 Silvia, but my friend we didn't. We instead got the torquey 240sx, its the same body as the JDM S13 but it has the front end of a 180sx. And motor wise... we got screwed in a way, but in a way its still good. We got the KA24E and the KA24DE in the later models. Its a motor thats capable, but not really ready to go from the factory.

theres a compact car shop down the road from where i live that has imported a skyline, and they are planing on importing a s15, but these are merely for show. and the assholes gave it one of the shittiest paint jobs i have ever seen, it looks like they took it to maco and got a 125 paint job. there iste is called riderevolution.com if you want to see this horrible thing they have done.

Attention Nissan Fans!
You are looking at a 2002 Nissan Silvia S15 Spec-R from Japan. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. THIS IS THE VEHICLE, OTHER THAN THE SKYLINE, THAT ALL DRIFTERS LOVE TO USE. THIS VEHICLE IS NO CONVERSION. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN REGISTERED AND IS ABLE TO DRIVE ON U.S. STREETS. This vehicle is registered and now is pending license plates, title and registration sticker from Sacramento DMV. This vehicle is able to stay in the country.
If it is registered....why is it still pending license plates??

they're importing them, but i won't be street legal. if they are really able to import and street legalize it, then i would be able to do the same thing myself, and then take it to an authorized importer/mechanic/ect. and have them bring it up to u.s. standards...
