ok for some really odd reason i noticed this yesterday and it's never happened before...first off, to make a long story short...after i wrecked my car into a guard rail, my so-called friend took my car to fix it...well he had the car for 3 weeks and did no work to it. all he did was drive it and beat on it...anyway yesterday i notice that occasionally my clutch gets real chattery. if i get on it, then i notice my clutch turns to mush and is real rough for about the next 5 or so shifts then it goes back to normal. well yesterday i got on it, hit 7grand and shifted to 2nd. all i heared was that horrible grind of gears :( i thought "hmm..that's weird. i never missed a 1-2 shift before. if any i miss the 2-3" so i didn't think much of it till about 30minutes later i hit about 6500 in 1st...shifted to 2nd and heared another grind. well it seems to do this constantly if i go past 5500 or so in first gear...could this be my clutch? i mean i am having weird clutch problems...the sad thing is, is that i have less than 10,000miles on this clutch...i do know that my ex-friend beat the shit out of it though...do i need a new clutch or is this a trannie problem?
thanks for any help.

most likely it is the clutch, since he was known to be beating on it. i would think that a finger or 2 from the pressure plate may be bent...
lets just hope that it isn't a tranny problem for now :)
