alpine deck problem HELP

okay i unplugged the battery of my car....unhooked my current JVC deck i got from the previous owner, then spliced the wires and hooked them up accordingly to each wire colour then hooked up the deck and then hooked up the battery.. and it has no power running to it at all
the last deck i had in my car worked i dont know why this one isnt
it ddint work the first tim eo i unhooked everytying and tried it again and still...nothing
the fan goes on and lights so it cant be the battery

wat the hell your fan turns on? your fan isn't supposed to turn on until it reaches a certain temp, thats what the alpine rep told me, and most of the wires can be color matched, but some aren't exactly the same color, make sure your power wire has a fuse with it, and if i were you, use a 12/10 guage ground connected to somewhere else on your chassis
its alot better than the stock ground

Did you mean the car fan and lights work?? Or the deck's?
Definitely check the ground wire from the deck and try grounding it separately to the chassis...

you obviously missed a wire ... or forgot to hook one up
