88 Regal analog odometer stopped working

Why did it stop working and who could fix something like that? Sorry if these seem like dumb questions this is my first time here.

Anyway, not sure how the analog works, but it could be internal problems, making you need a new odometer

I guess it is fairly common (I have an 88 with a broken odometer too)
There is a small motor that turns the gears of the odometer...I guess that is what fails.

The dash is fairly easy to take apart on the 88 regal. The odometer motor can be replaced separate of the readout (rolling numbers)

Your best bet would be to find a junk yard where you pick the parts, otherwise find out the part number and order a new part

I Have An 88 That The Odometer Didn'twork Until Recently. I Never Attemted To Worry. All Of A Sudden It Works. Now Me Speedometer Keeps Tripping Out.

dont threat eassy fix! take it apart free it up with your hand or a screwdriver and grease or oil it up... it will never stop working again! mine did the same thing and i did that works great now
