won't start...help

Well the car isn't a talon, but it is an eagle. Seems this board gets more visits so I decided to post here. Sometimes my car will start, sometimes it won't. It also can vary from firing right up to cranking and cranking before it starts. It gets good spark. Fuel pressure seems to be good. It's like the injectors aren't getting the signal to send fuel sometimes causing it not to start. When it isn't starting the plugs remain completely dry. Do the injectors have to get the right amount of fuel pressure before they will activate or is there something else that controls the injector operation?
Thanks,
Josh

I dont know a whole lot about cars, but i have had a good amount of experience with things going wrong with them :). My .02 would be to possible check on some of the common sensors like your O2 sensors, becuase these will limit fuel to air ratio causeing rough starts.
If you post back with more info on exactly what is happening when cranking, i might be able to give better advice, but for now thats the best i can think of.

run fuel injector cleaner through it... that might help, my talon has dirty injectors and sometimes it leads to a rough start only every now and then,... if it keeps doing it take it to a shop to get a tune up.....

Well it's not really a rough start. When it decides it doesn't want to start there's nothing at all when cranking. It will just turn over and over without firing at all. It doesn't let any fuel whatsoever past the injectors into the cylinders. Then out of the blue it will just start. Sometimes it will be a couple days with no starts. Then other times I can drive around all over and it has no problems starting.

fuel pump is under the back seat, passanger side in the tank (easy access under the seat) and the fuel filter is located in the engine bay under the battery, (line that runs off the fuel rail will direct you right to it! you need to have the battery out to get at it though.
now for the reason your injectors arent firing... from the reading i have done and the experiance i have from working with these cars is that it is kinda common to have the relays/circuts in the ECU go bad on the 1st gens that control fuel delivery and spark, not saying everyone has it but its not a first thats for sure, you might want to have the ECU bench tested or if you can get a hold of another ECU, switch it out and see if it helps or not... other than that the only thing i can think of is plugged injectors, fuel filter, or fuel pump! good luck
