I'm looking for a new throttle body for my v6 stang. Can anyone tell me what is a good performance upgrade part I should use and one that will not break my bank account. Also, can anyone tell me how to do a powerbrake on an automatic car and how to make a mustang stay in one place and make those rear wheels spin and make some smoke with a automatic and a manual transmission. Thanks

umm you could do a Cold air intake (159.00) and underdrive pulleys (75.00) these are the prices I can sell them for so let me know if you are interested

No prob, although I do not put much stock in cold air intakes, under drive pullies are a very good option.
I am not going into the brake stand, its not needed unless your at the track. I will say one thing, a line lock sure does help :iceslolan

A lock and brake on a street car that could hook and launch on regular blacktop would be sweet.

Not sure your v6 has the torque to powerbrake, but its worth a try. Press the brake, floor the gas, if that doesnt do it then you can slowly let out on the brake until they start to spin, may have to sit there a min to see smoke though. On a manual trans just dump the clutch and keep shiftin hard and high. If you have to powerbrake a car with a manual trans to get it to spin its not worth your time, but if you are fast with your feet you can dump the clutch and slide your foot over on the brake while you push the gas and that should do it. Just dont tear your rearend or clutch out and dont burn up your auto, your parents probly wont like it too good. O and btw, cops dont like it either, so be careful.

i went with a cheap cold air intake on my 02 mustang gt with no other modifications except a throttle body spacer (which was probably a waste of time and money), and couldn't really feel much of a difference until i had to take it off and put the original stock intake back on (the rubber that connects the intake tube to the throttle body got a tear in it somehow). when i put the stock intake back on, the car feels really sluggish. i don't think the cold air intake makes any real difference in peak horsepower, but how many people drive their cars at the peak power rpm anyway? it makes for a smoother power curve and you DO feel a difference throughout the rpm range. anything you can do to make your car breathe easier is worth the time. i'm looking for a new throttle body myself, just to see what kind of difference it makes, if any.
btw, i saw a 3 mpg increase in fuel mileage with the cold air intake as well (you don't buy a mustang for fuel mileage, but it helps if you make long trips like i do)
