Anybody know how involved a motor mount change is for an 89 cad deville 89 with 4.5liter. Considering taking it to the shop , but if access is simply I will give it a go!! Any words of encouragement or discouragement appreciated as a guide tool!! Thanks in advance.

The one on the drivers side front is not bad. The one on the passenger side front (probably called a transmission mount) is difficult because of the AC piping. Not sure about others.

How did the motor mount job go? I got the same thing now. Any tips?

Out of curiosity, how did you know the motor mount was bad?

You can feel the motor rock back when you accelerate from stop. It's fairly obvious. The folks at my local Cadillac say the front two mounts (the motor mount on the passenger side and the front tranny mount on the driver's side) are the two that go out over time. There are a total of three including the rear tranny mount on the driver's side. Jack up the motor slightly and you can see them separate. There is a bolt on top securing an a/c line too so be careful.
