I don't know why anybody would put down the SAABs of the 60's and 70's. I think the 60 and 61 Desotos are hideous though.

The first Hyundia Tiburons. Fugly to the max. Those are up there with the Aztek on my list. I was behind a pastel yellow one on the highway today, and it was too ugly to look at, so I passed it... then i couldn't stop lookin in the rear view mirrors and saying to myself... its even fuckin uglier from the front! jesus who designed this thing?? I mean a unique look could be a good thing to get attention, but not when the attention is "holy shit that thing is fugly, what would compel someone to buy that!??!?!? I'd rather die than own that, let alone pay money for one!"

Saabs of the '60s and '70s!? Saabs were very unique and stylish back then. Even though they were slow (Sonnett being powered by a Ford Tracker motor) they were still not considered ugly according to me.

You mention the H1, by which I think you mean the Hummer. Yet you do not mention the H2, proving that you have no taste. H2 is a sh1tbox soccer mom SUV not worthy of anything more than a dirt road. The Hummer is a fine piece of machinery, and even if you think it is ugly visually, its appealing because of its all business, every piece on it is there for a reason and does its job well.

They look almost the same! Grille is a little different, but otherwise thru the 80s at least, they're all just pretty much the same boxy shape. Then in the late 90s Chevy started putting lots of SWEET gray plastic on the bottom half of their trucks.

Actually, I think that because the late fifties DeSotos were actually nice (I think the '57s are probably the best looking of them all) that it makes the 60's ones seem all the more ugly! :icon16:

Ok, lots of you keep saying that the Honda Element is UGLY, but what bothers you about it really? The plastic panels? Nearly EVERY new vehicle has plastic of some kind, so why hide it? If you've ever dinged a painted fender you'll actually appreciate the unpainted panels! Painted ones require a trip to the body shop to fix, whereas with the Element the average do-it-yourselfer can replace the panel dirt cheap on a weekend!

By the way, I admit I was taken aback by the appearance of the Element when I first saw one - they are different for sure. But I've always loved the way it looks - very stunning! Once I learned about all of it's cool features (and ultimately test drove one) I knew I had to have one!!

Here are some Practical reasons to love the "E"
24 MPG, 4WD, 5 Star Front Crash Ratings, Low Insurance Rates, Excellent 5MPH bumper testing (with one of least $ amount of damage in its class!), Low Emissions LEV-2 (1/7th the pollution of a Hummer), Plenty of torque and power for normal driving (160 HP 2.4L iVTEC - Same as the one in the Accord), PROVEN Honda Reliability!!!

There are lots of vehicles on the road, some of which are practical and some which are not. For my needs, the Element is the best buy for the money, and a beautiful vehicle at that!

As a previous owner, I should be shamefaced to say this, but my AW11, first gen, MR2 was one of the ugliest cars i can recall. Was my first project car, was just going to sell it, then i fell in love with its streetability. Nothing is funnier than a "That is the ugliest thing I've ever seen" face turn into a "and it just blew my doors off" face.
