Engine computer

I am also changing the engine computer in my 1997 Cavalier. How hard is it to do? The repair shop wanted $750.00 when the computer only cost $100.00 from the part store. The guy in the part store said all you do is remove the cover under the dash and unplug the old computer and plug in the new one which seems simple enough. Why isn't there anything in any of the repair manuals on how to do it? And is that all you really have to do?

yep thats it...you also have to get the computer reflashed to your VIN #...shouldnt cost more than 35 bucks at the dealership
