Tomorrow starts a day of repairs and paint...

well....being this is my first time trying it i'm not mad at myself....I wetsanded the impreza today.....whew...it looked badass until the water was wiped off. I only wetsanded the hood to see if it would come out ok, so i'm glad i stopped before i hit the other body panels. But anyways....it's getting new paint ASAP...it looks like arse right now.

and on another note....the interior comes out so i can pinpoint exactly what the hell wiring gremlin has plagued my car for the past year. Here's what i know is wrong....and a list of new parts i have...

new parts: (so you can't say, maybe it's the ecu, coilpak, etc.)

3 coilpaks, 3 ecu's, 1 engine harness, new MAP sensor

Problem: Car will spark cylinder 3,4 ONLY. If the spark plug wires are detached on 1 and 2, and you turn the car off, then put the IGN on, it'll arc back and forth to the engine on 1 and 2 for about 3 seconds, then stop. I tried teeing off wasted spark, replacing the ecu, the coilpak, the fuses and relays, but no luck. Voltage off the wire for banks 3,4 is at 9v, the other bank is at .5 volts. it's supposed to occilate between 3-5 iirc. I've followed step by step the Subaru diagnostic manual and i'm left with NOTHING!!!!

Only now, nothing power works on the inside of the car!! no radio, no windows, no lock, no lights, no gauges. Headlights, brake lights, fuel pump works.

So i'm just going to pull out and see what the hell is shorted out, and if i find somehting, fix it and my car runs, whoopdy doo! i'll be hella happy. Wish me luck all.....i HATE wiring..lol
