Cleaning a CF hood

Ok. I've had my hood for a good 8 months. I washed my car the other day but the hood still has this grainy feel to it and it looks kidna streaky, like I didn't get it completely cleaned, but I ahd washed it with soap and water. Anyone know a good way to get that shine back? Is it just fading or what?

I'm not sure if you can do this with CF or wax it, i've never had CF. But if you can, it will definatly help.

Wash hood,(no need to dry) then use clay product(Clay Magic, Mothers, or Zaino clays are perferred) with lots of lube. Then wash hood again, dry and wax hood.

Enjoy the glass smooth shine.

try the Mr. Clean cleaner system. I use it on my black 03 civic and i never have a problem with spots or streaks. it costs about 20 bucks at target and you can get a $5 coupon on mr. cleans site.

Wax works fine i keep a very thick few coats of Zymol on mine at all times.
I'm not sure about if what C/F does without a coat of wax and thats what yours sounds like. Mine has been on 1 month now still feels like glass and shiny as hell.
I'd give it a real good cleaning and waxjob it should help most C/F hoods have few layers of clear coat to protect and make them shine.
