when you say "rolling start" what do you define that as. ten feet, 1/8mile, 1/4 mile.
When you say "can take": does that mean the STI or EVO has a 2K rpm rev limiter.
Sorry but i highly doubt a stock rex can take a evo or a sti.
Sorry but i gotta pull the B.S. card on this one.

My rex isn't stock....
Also i never said i could beat an STi Or an Evo, i said a regular WRX... and a rolling start at like 20 mph the regular WRX can't touch me.

I don't have my full list of mods on the rex in front of me, but what I know off of the top of my head is
Duel red cam integra non vtec ZC motor.
Revolution full carbon fiber cap back exhaust.
Mugen side skirts, door caps.
R33 Skyline front end.
Buddy club rear end.
Kuhmo Z rated tires.
Progress Drag springs in front, regular coil progress springs in back.
Dyno tuned.
Performance Chip.
OBX Cold air intake.

JDM B16A
JDM S1 tranny
B&M short Shifter
Chipped PR3 ECU
5Zigen Exaust
Spearco Front Mount Intercooler
Apex'i VAFC
Apex'i Dual chanber BOV
450cc Injectors
T3/T4 Turbo
Stainless Equal Lenght Turbo manifold
the turbo is schedule to be installed next week.
the Rods, pistons, boost controler allong with motor work and clutch are scheduled for later this summer.
I figure at 8psi about 280hp, once I can boost 16psi I hope for 350hp.
350hp in a 1200lbs car should take just about anything out there.

Onimacus
05-24-2004, 08:27 PM
Mine has a short shifter too... forgot to add that.... I bought the car with the mods already, which I feel guilty about, but I don't have the time to do all the little things, all that is left is the turbo, maybe a new block, headers, and a turbo kit, also a racing clutch would be nice... One day I will beat the annoying 16 year old with the STi in my apartment complex...

Was this with or without the nitrous? If it was without the nitrous I'm gonna call BS because they should be able to take you, seeing as your time posted in your sig is around 14.7...and they can dip to around 13.8-13.9 stock.

We had 160km/hr limiters on the STi's from about 97,98 etc, thats where I could beat em, but thats hardly fair or a judge of the vehicles competing.

US spec STi's run 13.2's, or at least on the spec sheet is says 13.2. I've seen one run a 13.5 in person. WRX's run like 14.5ish. I work at a Subaru dealership so I've driven plenty of both, and damn are those STi's fast. Before my CRX was stolen and murdered, it could take WRX's, but it was a close race, and that was with a gutted interior, b16, intake, exhaust, cam gears, and a P&P.

one easy way to scrap off a few punds is to cut out some of the safety shit in the doors of your CRX or hatch since the belts are in the doors they made them extra strong and if you now have racing harnesses which i know some of you do that is one way to clean out about 50lbs or so just thought i would let you know i dont sujjest doing it on cars that still use the factory seat belts

Yes I was spraying and it was from a roll 1/4 mile time's really dont affect anything, diff car's have diff powerband's.
If I say I race someone and the car is really quick stock I sprayed, but if it's a car like a GTI, or another honda I wouldent usually spray unless something made me think the car had alot of work done.

Thats cool, I was just wondering because I wasn't sure. I love SRT's and for a new car, 21k for a sub 14 second car stock is a great price. A guy I know in town might be getting one the end of next week and I hope he does, I wanna ride in one.
