Nitrous Setup Q's

I have been on these forums for a little while and have thrown around nitrous in my head and so far i have pretty much gathered this much.
Nitrous is dangerous for burning lean and there for hot, due to the ecu not adding extra fuel to make up for the extra O2. i hear there is a zex kit that plugs to the ecu to tell it that there is more O2 and it adds the apropriate fuel amount and therefore we totally bypass the lean problem therefore eliminating the risk in nitrous except for the extra power kind of problems. and another thing. i cannot find a kit for a lancer...are nitrous kits specific to vehicles....? what do you all think about his kit? does it fully eliminate the lean problem? and would it be safe?

I have been doing the same n2o seems controversial but still a good idea if u got the money to fill the bottle often. Here is the scoop on the zex kit. Assuming you are talking about the wet kit which is much safer and easier to install then the dry kit it actually works by monitoring the bottle presure and adjusts the amount of fuel according to that. To your other questions no the zex kit is universial so u would have no problem installing it in your lancer with a lil time and maybe a buddy. To my knowledge the kit is by far the safest on the market but it is nitrous and so it can never be 100% safe. It activates via a TPS switch so that makes it safer as well. Bottom line if you got a couple hundred bucks and feel like smoking some people go for the zex kit I thought i saw a website with some really cheap like under 400 which is less than u could get it direct from zex, just look around

tps switch... and this kit dosnt plug into the ecu? and a link for this kit would be great and do i have to hook up my existing fuel line to it?

that is the link to the zex kit i spoke of, its a lil more expensive than i thought like more in the 700 range but like i said thats direct from zex you can probably find cheaper.
TPS stands for throttle position switch, meaning when the throttle is wide open the switch is tripped allowing the nitrous to be injected.
To answer your installation question and then some, Yes a T joint is included for your fuel line and u can just cut right into the stock line.
Had this been a dry kit yes you would need to be connected to the ECU so that it could add more fuel. But this zex wet kit, like i said, uses bottle presure to know how much additional fuel to add and therefore ur stock electronics arent altered.
Colder spark pluds and slightly reduced timing could be a good idea to prevent detonation. Anymore questions feel free to talk to me on AIM my sn is dayvidgallagher
