I just got a 1989 firebird a few days ago so I haven't had it that long. It is a V8 5.0L automatic. I went on carfax and put the VIN # in to do the history report and it said it is a formula but the hood and spoiler are the base firebird style and it has no formula decals. The guy sold it to me as a regular firebird. I have looked around and have only seen regular firebirds as V6's. I need someone who knows ALOT about firebirds to answer my question. Is it a formula or not?

formulas were usually firebird body and suspension with the v8 motor in it. the trans am would have the different front end ground effects spoiler a few suspension things and only came with the v8.
thier could be a few other things i missed, someone else will pop in and say something

the guy only had the car for a little while, he bought it for his daughter and it didnt seem like he knew too much about it. I don't know who the original owner was or how many owners it has had.
