Where is the cranck angle sensor and what does it look like?

I just did a sohc zc sawp in my 88 civic dx hatch and everything is done it seems. except this infamous c1 and c2 swap and connection or whatever. i have the wires ran but i do not know what to connect them to. some instructions say the color of the wires but they do not match anything I've seen under my hood. is it possible to find the two wires to switch before the sensor at the plug (where is the plug and hat color are the wires) or do i have to go inside my distributor. When I look in there what am i looking for?

the sensor is inside the dizzy....you cant get to it.....but the wires are on the dizzy plug if thats what your wondering.....just re-read the mpfi instructions....it'll help

So what engines can i find mpfi dist? I assume any multi fi engine will have dist I need. but does it matter if it comes from dohc or sohc engine? I have ZC sohc. How do I tell if it is v-tec or not? my valve cover doesn't say. If I decide later on to switch to dohc can i just put d16z6 head on it or will any dohc head fit? sorry about all of the questions I'm just trying to learn.

Only DOHC heads fit DOHC blocks and only Dseries fit Dseries.the duel cam ZC head will fit the Dseries duelcam integra motors.you only need a distributor from a 1.6liter mpfi B16 or d16 it dont matter,the OEM number for the distributor is TD-02u. good luck and i hope iv help alittle atlest

First he didnt even ask if you could put a dohc head on a sohc block so whats the deal with saying that? Im almost positive a dohc distributor will work on a sohc head, but the mounts may need to be ghetto fabed and it should plug right in. And yes you will need obd0 distributor unless you changed to obd1 for some reason.

I dont think the dohc dizzy will work cus the crank angle sensor sits on the exhaust cam, not in the dizzy like the sohc.
